Biography
Berdenn De Kergane (now Casco Bay) was ridden by 2020 Team USA Silver Medallist Laura Kraut. He was an outstanding example of a modern show jumper, combining the best of French show jumping bloodlines. He was the top lot when sold at auction in 2014, impressing the audience with his scopey, powerful jump, exemplary technique, and elastic paces. This stallion is a great option for breeders to install lightness and ability, with the most relaxed temperament into their youngstock. His son, Fancy de Kergane recently sold for a substantial figure and is now the ride of Cian O’Connor. Sire: Quaprice du Bois Margot, is by the great Quidam de Revel, and is also the sire of 1.60m horses Don Vito, VDL Groep Quatro and VDL Baltic. Dam: Rosiere de Kergane is by Flipper d’Elle, who amongst other achievements, took part in the 2005 European Show Jumping Championships and the 2006 World Equestrian Games and whose offspring include Royal des Bissons and Glock’s Prince de Vaux.
